Originally a grocer’s company and then bank headquarter, One King West counts 47 floors for 176 meters high building. And we were at the 41th 😄
So you can imagine the view we had from our room. Well, no, don’t imagine, look at that:
One King West is a hotel, but also a residence and a club, having super cool interiors that remind me of the locations of “Great Gatsby”.
Located in the heart of the Financial District, we reached it super quickly walking from Union Station; it is in King & Yonge Street, some of the oldest streets of Toronto, now crowded with tall skyscrapers, place of banks, corporate headquarters, high-powered legal and accounting firms, insurance companies and stockbrokers.
But that doesn’t mean the neighborhood is boring or too serious: in this business area or just around the corner you can also find many locals, restaurants and all the folks hanging around and having fun at every hour of the day and the night. Well, mostly of the night.
In this lively young city OKW plays its role: the lobby hosts a bar and lounge and a restaurant, usually fairly busy.
Another pearl is the Grand Banking Hall, an historic ballroom now turned into event location.
If you guys are looking for a great stay in Toronto, OKW is the right place, I wouldn’t go anywhere else if going to happen by this beautiful city again. And trust me, as I haven’t had enough time to explore it properly from top to bottom, I think I’ll give myself another chance to accomplish the mission 💪
See you next time OKW! ❤️
